SCB EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director primary focus is to provide the district with the necessary leadership and expertise to oversee the day to day district management including policy and administration management. The successful candidate will ensure SCB is successful as a financially stable, well managed and progressive organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provided day to day district management including policy and administration management.
· Implement budget; combined with ongoing financial management and accounting responsibilities.
· Administer policy and procedure manuals; implement systems to ensure continuous quality improvement.
· Manage and develop staff.
· Facilitate and implement the business planning process.
· Promote and manage fundraising and sponsorship relationships.
· Preparation and presentation of key reports to the board.
· Deal with general inquiries and assist membership with questions of discipline, policy and risk management.
· Lead SCB public relations and promotions.
· Represent SCB in the community.
· Apply and manage funding from various organisation including Federal and Provincial governments.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum five years experience in a business management and administration leadership role.
· Experience working with a volunteer board or non-profit organization an asset.
· Post Secondary degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of financial management, and marketing.
· Strategic business planning skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to network and communicate internally and externally; written, oral and presentational.
· Strong decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Strong administrative skills with the ability to multi task and organize priorities and manage and allocate resources.
· Competent in Microsoft Office and Simply Accounting.
· Team player.
· A passion for providing quality sporting opportunities to youth.
· Must provide clear criminal record and child abuse registry check
Part time Feb to May 10hrs/week & Full-time May to September 40 hrs/week
