Indoor Soccer arriving soon in Cape Breton
Wednesday, December 16, 2009
Jo Swinemer, SNS

The Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex moved a step closer to full completion, when the Indoor Dome component of the facility was erected this week.  The dome, which measures 270’ by 210’ ft, offers two mini fields for indoor soccer play, and also a golf driving range.  The dome will be in full operation by December 27.

Many sport groups have expressed an interest in using the facility, but Soccer Cape Breton will be the primary user, with indoor programs starting in January.

The facility also offers a full size artificial turf surface, surrounded by a world class running track, a grass field for track and field events, beach volleyball courts, and a two story building that contains 8 dressing rooms, office space, and a fitness facility.
