Nova Scotia represented by players and coaches at Under 20 camp in Florida
Wednesday, December 16, 2009
Jo Swinemer, SNS

Halifax native Molly Allen (Halifax Dunbrack, Soccer NS Provincial Team, National Training Center-Atlantic) is currently attending the under 20 women's team camp in Florida at Atlantic University in Boca Ratan.  Molly who currently plays at Virginia Commonwealth University  is attending her second camp as she was part of the team’s last camp at the University of Texas, El Paso in October. Canada's under 20 team is preparing for qualification for the under 20 World Cup in Germany in July and August 2010.  Molly will also be joined by Danny Worthington (NTC-A Director/SNS staff coach) and Cindy Tye (NTC-A/SNS under 14 head coach) who were invited by the national coaching staff to observe the camp.

Mike Hudson, Director of coaching and player Development for Soccer Nova Scotia stated, "Molly has always been so focused to be the best she can be, and it is great to see that she is getting an opportunity to represent Canada - she has been to camps before and was considered to the last under 20 World Cup as an underage player. Having Danny and Cindy attend the camp will allow our staff to see the philosophy of the new CSA coaching staff under the guidance of new Italian coach Carolina Morace. This experience should prove invaluable in helping prepare future potential female athletes for future national team camps."

For more information about the camp, please check out the CSA web site.
