The position is a one year contract position.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications and Experience:
· Full Canadian B License or equivalent
· Experience in coaching education
· Experience working with non profit volunteer boards
· Proven record in soccer program design and implementation
Current C.P.I.C. clearance is mandatory for this position.
Halifax Regional Training Centre duties to include:
· Issuing written invitations to identified players to participate in the fall try-outs
· Running the fall try outs and informing all players in attendance of the results.
· Under the direction of Soccer Nova Scotia’s Director of Coaching and Player Development, operating the Under12 winter component of the RTC.
· Seeking out additional competitive opportunities that will enhance the development of the RTC group.
· Attending the spring tournament in Halifax
· Attending the SNS U12 summer identification camp as a staff coach
· Completing an annual report for the Halifax RTC Program.
· Identification and recommendation of players from the Regional training Centre to Soccer Nova Scotia’s provincial program.
Coaching Course duties to include:
· Conducting Community Coaching Courses
· Providing an adequate number of course offerings at varying times of the year to best accommodate Halifax District member clubs coaching needs
Remuneration: $8000.
Additional funding of up to $1000 is available for an RTC assistant
