It is that time of year again.  Referee Renewals were sent this week to all 2009 registered referees.   If you were a referee last year and you do not receive your registration form by March 12^th, please follow up with Jo Swinemer.  All kinds of referee information, including the newest version of the Referee Handbook, is available in our Referee Centre.   And, just a reminder, all returning referees must attend a refresher course, and the schedule is available on the Clinic Page. 

If you are interested in becoming a referee, Entry Level Clinics take place around the province throughout the spring. For more information, refer to the Clinic Page.   Forms must be in 2 weeks prior to the course to insure time for pre-course study work.   Space in clinics may be limited, and especially in the Metro area, courses may reach capacity.  Register early to avoid disappointment.

Shauna Poirier, an Assitant Referee with FIFA, has been appointed to the CONCACAF U17 Championships.  She is only one of two Canadian officials to attend this Championship, taking place March 10th to 20th in Costa Rica.  Soccer Nova Scotia wishes Shauna the best of luck.
